Send files up to 50 GB, convert between 50+ formats on the fly, brand your download pages with your own logo and colours, and lock your finals behind a paywall so clients pay before they download. Free accounts get 5 GB per file and 15 transfers a month. Pro Flipper (£11.99/mo) bumps that to 25 GB and unlimited transfers. Squad Flipper (from £16.99/mo) gets the whole team up to 50 GB files and 1 TB of storage per seat.

Yes. You need a free account to upload, and it takes about 30 seconds to sign up. Recipients never need an account; they just click the link and download.

Any file type. No restrictions on format. PSD, AI, RAW, DNG, ProRes, R3D, FCP projects, ZIP archives, anything. If your OS can save it, we can transfer it.

It depends on your plan:

• Free (Quick Flipper) — up to 5 GB per file, 15 GB active storage, 15 transfers per month

• Pro Flipper (£11.99/mo) — up to 25 GB per file, 1 TB active storage, unlimited transfers

• Squad Flipper (from £16.99/mo) — up to 50 GB per file, 1 TB per seat pooled, unlimited transfers

Drop your files on the upload page. Once they're uploaded, we generate a unique transfer link. Copy it and send it however you like: email, Slack, WhatsApp, a DM, your invoice. Your recipient clicks the link and downloads. No account needed on their end.

You can also set a 15-minute self-destruct on any plan. Handy for sensitive deliverables you want off the internet fast.

Don't panic and don't refresh. FileFlippers™ saves your upload progress automatically. If your connection drops, the tab closes, or the browser crashes, come back to the upload page and you'll see an 'Unfinished Flip' banner. Click Resume and it picks up from the last completed chunk. No starting over.

If it's genuinely stuck (not just slow): check your connection, try a different browser, or clear your cache. If the problem keeps happening, email us at support@fileflippers.com with your browser and OS version.

Yes. Pro Flipper and Squad Flipper plans can set a password on any transfer. Recipients have to enter it before they can see or download anything. Useful for sending work to clients before you've been paid, or sharing confidential files.

Yes. Your dashboard shows download activity for every transfer: timestamps, download counts, and country of the downloader. Pro and Squad plans also get download notification emails so you know the moment a client grabs the files.

Payment-gated delivery lets you lock your final files behind a paywall. Here's how it works:

1. You upload your files and enable the payment gate

2. We generate watermarked previews automatically

3. Your client gets a delivery page where they can view and download the watermarked versions for free

4. The clean, unwatermarked originals only unlock once they pay

5. Money goes straight to your connected Stripe account. We don't touch it

FileFlippers™ takes 0% on Pro and Squad plans. Free plans pay a 5% platform fee per transaction. It's available on all plans, so connect Stripe in your dashboard to activate.

One thing to know about fees: the FileFlippers cut above is separate from Stripe's own card-processing fee. Because you're the merchant of record, Stripe deducts its standard processing fee (roughly 1.5% + 20p per transaction on UK cards, higher for international or Amex) on your connected account before the money reaches your bank. The 20p flat part means very small amounts are inefficient. On a £1 sale you'd keep around 78p, but on £10 you'd keep roughly £9.55 and on £100 around £97.30. Stripe sets and may change these rates; the exact fee shows on your Stripe dashboard.

When you enable payment-gated delivery, we automatically generate watermarked versions of your files using our GPU processing pipeline. Your client sees these on the delivery page. Once they pay, the watermarks disappear and they get the originals at full resolution.

Monthly watermark allowances:

• Free — 0 included (costs 1 credit per file from a credit pack)

• Pro Flipper — 50 free per month, then 1 credit each

• Squad Flipper — 50 + 25 per seat free per month (a 5-seat team gets 175/month), then 1 credit each

Video files wider than 4,096 pixels are scaled to 4,096px wide in the preview. The original full-resolution file is always what the client gets on payment.

Yes. Pro Flipper and Squad Flipper plans let you add your logo, set your brand colours, and remove all FileFlippers™ branding from your delivery pages. Your clients see your brand, not ours. Pro and Squad can also add White Label for £10/month, which puts your download pages on your own domain (e.g. flip.yourstudio.com).

Once you've added the White Label add-on, go to Branding → Custom Link and enter the domain you want (like flip.yourstudio.com). We show you two DNS records to add at your domain provider. Copy each with one click, paste them in, then click Check status. Your SSL padlock is set up automatically. It takes about 5 minutes plus a short wait for the change to spread across the internet. Nothing changes. The clean, unwatermarked files stay locked. Your client can view and download the watermarked previews as many times as they like, but the originals don't unlock until payment clears. Your work is protected.

Disputes go through Stripe's standard process. Because you're using Stripe Connect with direct charges, disputes land on your connected account, not FileFlippers™. We can provide delivery evidence (timestamps, download activity) if needed. Set clear payment terms with clients upfront. Your delivery page is a good place to state them.

Enhance uses AI upscaling to improve image and video quality before you send. There are three tiers:

• Boost — 2 credits/image, 10 credits/min video. Fast upscaling powered by FlashVSR. Available on all plans (free users need a credit pack). Pro gets up to 5 min video; Squad gets up to 10 min.

• Studio — 3 credits/image, 50 credits/min video. Diffusion-based restoration for trickier material. Pro and Squad only.

• Legend — 5 credits/image, 150 credits/min video. Maximum quality. Pro and Squad only.

Pro includes 100 credits/month. Squad gets 200–600 depending on seat count. Additional credits available via credit packs.

• Pro Flipper (£11.99/mo, or £9.95/mo annual) — 25 GB/file, unlimited transfers, 1 TB storage, transfers up to 30 days. Password protection, full custom branding, 100 enhance credits/month, 50 free watermarks/month.

• Squad Flipper (from £16.99/mo base + £6.99/seat) — 50 GB/file, unlimited transfers, 1 TB per seat, transfers up to 60 days. Everything in Pro plus team workspace, shared credits (200–600/month), shared watermark pool, audit log, and custom domain add-on.

Squad has a base fee (£16.99/month) plus a per-seat charge that gets cheaper the more seats you have:

• Seats 1–10: £6.99/seat/month

• Seats 11–20: £6.49/seat/month

• Seats 21–30: £5.99/seat/month

• Seats 31–40: £5.49/seat/month

• Seats 41–50: £4.99/seat/month

So a 5-person team is £16.99 + 5×£6.99 = £51.94/month. A 10-person team is £16.99 + 10×£6.99 = £86.89/month.

Annual billing saves 17%. Seats can be added or removed at any time, and Stripe handles proration automatically. Min 2 seats, max 50.

Go to your Dashboard → Plan & Billing and select the plan you want. The upgrade takes effect immediately. If you're mid-billing cycle, Stripe prorates the charge so you only pay for the time remaining.

Yes, any time from Dashboard → Plan & Billing → Cancel. You keep access to paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for. No cancellation fees.

We offer refunds at our discretion within 14 days of a charge. Email support@fileflippers.com with your account email and what you were charged for.

All major credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more. Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified).

Share your unique referral link from Dashboard → Referrals. When someone signs up using it, you get credited. Pro and Squad users can earn cash commission on referred paid subscriptions: 15% on Pro referrals, 10–6% on Squad depending on seat count, paid monthly via Stripe. Free users earn storage bonuses instead. Your referral link stays active for 60 days from when someone clicks it.

The referred person must be a new user (no prior account) and sign up via your referral link. They also need to verify their email and complete their first transfer within 48 hours. Self-referrals, meaning a second account made to earn your own bonus, get flagged automatically.

The affiliate programme is for content creators, newsletters, comparison sites, and agencies who want to promote FileFlippers™ more formally. It has its own commission structure and terms. See the Partners page for details.

Squad plans add a shared team workspace on top of everything Pro includes:

• Shared enhance credits — 200 credits/month for 1–10 seats, scaling up to 600 credits for 41–50 seats

• Shared watermark pool — 50 + 25 per seat free per month

• Team audit log — see who sent what, when, with download activity per member

• Shared branding settings — one logo and colour scheme across the whole team

• 50 GB file size limit (vs 25 GB on Pro)

• 1 TB storage per seat, pooled

• Transfers up to 60 days (vs 30 days on Pro)

Start a Squad from Dashboard → Plan & Billing. Minimum 2 seats.

Dashboard → Team → Invite Member. Enter their email address. They'll get an invite link. Once they accept, they're in the workspace and can start sending immediately. You need an available seat. If you're at capacity, you'll be prompted to add one (£6.99–£4.99/month depending on your current seat count).

Yes. Every file is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Uploads are scanned for malware by ClamAV on arrival (files up to 2 GB). We run Cloudflare's CSAM hash-matching at our delivery layer. Files are stored in Western Europe. No human at FileFlippers™ routinely views your file contents.

No. Never. Your files are yours. We don't use them for AI training, we don't sell them, and we don't share them with third parties. The Enhance feature processes your files to improve quality, and that's it. Nothing is retained for training.

Files are stored on encrypted object storage in Western Europe (AES-256 at rest). Our database is hosted in the UK (London). Payment data is processed by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

The most common reasons:

1. The transfer expired. Free transfers last up to 7 days. Check with the sender to resend.

2. The transfer is password protected. Ask the sender for the password.

3. A browser extension is interfering. Try an incognito window or a different browser.

4. The link was shared incorrectly. Make sure the full URL was copied, not truncated.

If none of those apply, email us at support@fileflippers.com with the transfer link and we'll take a look.

Check your spam and junk folders first, since transactional emails sometimes end up there. Add noreply@fileflippers.com to your contacts to prevent it happening again. If you're still not getting emails after 10 minutes, email us at support@fileflippers.com.

Try signing out and back in. This usually fixes a session sync issue. If the problem persists, email support@fileflippers.com with your account email and the last 4 digits of the card charged. We'll sort it.
